NEW EPA REGULATIONS
In March 2010, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued its final rules revising the National Emission
Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (RICE NESHAP). The new rules, which
are incorporated into the existing EPA RICE regulations, for the first time subject many previously unregulated engines,
including those designated for emergency use, to federal regulation.
Due to this new regulation the City of Panora
will now be required to add Catalyst to all three of our generators. The deadline compliance date is February 13 2013. We
hope to install this equipment well ahead of the deadline. Waiting will only add expense to the project due to high demand.
